A Rich Program for Classical Music Lovers

After the exceptional success of last year's Zagreb International Chamber Music Festival, for this year, the organizers have announced an even more attractive program which will certainly bring enjoyment to all chamber music lovers.

Between October 12th and October 21st, the 2nd Zagreb International Chamber Music Festival will take place at the Hrvatski Glazbeni Zavod /Croatian Music Institute/. Judging by the last year's atmosphere, this year we can expect an even better repertoire.

According to the announced program, there will be performances by Susanna Yoko Henkel, Stefan Milenković, Monika Leskovar, Jing Zhao, Elena Cheah, Nicola Birkhan, Hrvoje Philips, Guy Ben-Ziony, Božo Paradžik, Ian Fountain, Milana Chernyavska, Petra Gilming and Alexandra Gruber, all eminent musicians who have gained excellent reputations in the world of chamber music.

This festival was held for the first time last year and achieved an unprecedented success with both the audiences and the music critics. The published reviews and critiques were very positive, and both the audiences as well as members of the profession wholeheartedly hailed the launch of such a festival and, indeed, gave it their support. The festival was organized with the backing of the Department of Culture of the City of Zagreb, but was mostly financed by private funds donated by the festival organizers.

The international guests and domestic musicians worked hard together on the festival's programs and presented the results of their joint effort to the local audiences by way of four separate festival programs: "The Franz Schubert Evening", "The Russian Night", "A homage to Schumann and Brahms", and "The Mozart Matinee".
