An acrobatic sensation in the sky
Is there anybody who can resist watching sensational aerobatics take place up in the blue expanse of the sky? We did not think so! This is why you must head to Zagreb's Jarun Lake on 9th June, where some of the best acrobatic pilots of today will roar into the sky during the international acrobatic race Adria Air Race 2012.
This year the international acrobatic competition Adria Air Race 2012 will take place at a particularly attractive venue – above Zagreb's Jarun Lake. On that day audiences can look forward to many other attractions in the air.
The race itself is expected to attract a lot of interest, as many do not have the opportunity to see such spectacles live, especially with participants who rank among the best acrobatic pilots of today. Last year, the race took place above the seafront in Zadar. This year, Zagreb will host not only some quite remarkable pilots who will mesmerize the audience with their extreme aerobatics, but also numerous elite TV crews who never miss the opportunity to show such events on TV channels worldwide. Last year’s race aired and was rerun several times on Eurosport, whose crew will come to Zagreb this year and therefore spread the fame of the race and the city across the globe.
Although the race itself will be a true spectacle in the sky, the organizer promises that on 9th June tens of thousands of visitors can look forward to a number of other attractions at Jarun Lake. The whole-day programme will start at 10 A.M. with entertainment for all generations. There will be parachute jumps, helicopter flights and low-flying aerobatics by both military and civilian aircrafts. The youngest visitors will be able to sit in real aircraft that will be on display on the ground. There will be another pleasant surprise, which for the time being is being kept under wraps by the organizers, and visitors can also look forward to some good musical entertainment.
A word or two should be said about the race itself, because the rules have been changed for Zagreb's edition of the event. What this means is that the race will be even harder, hence even more interesting for the viewers.
The tickets have been on sale since 15th May at the very reasonable price of 20 kuna for a pair of two tickets. They can still be purchased on the Kupime.hr webpage.
