UThe German ambient/jazz band Bohren & der Club of Gore will perform at Pogon Jedinstvo on March 28th. After their first Croatian gig ten years ago at Kset Club, when the cult band had a rather small following in Croatia, this year, Bohren & der Club of Gore will perform in Zagreb as part of their tour during which they will promote their eighth album “Piano Nights”.

With the release of their first album “Gore Motel” in 1994 the band started experimenting with combining jazz, ambience music and doom metal. The experiment proved quite successful with global audiences and music critics. The latter describe their music as slow, while the band members themselves are big fans of the cult band Black Sabbath. Music critics, on the other hand, compare their music with the work of Angelo Badalamenti who composed the score for David Lynch’s film classic “Twin Peaks”. Another big fan of their musical style is Mike Paton, who releases their albums on the USA market through his Ipecac Recordings and who also cooperated on their penultimate album “Beileid” in 2011.

Tickets for the Bohren & der Club of Gore concert are on sale at 80 kuna. On the day of the concert, they will be 100 kuna. They can be purchased at the Dirty Old Shop and Rockmark bookshop.

The organizer of this concert, which was originally supposed to take place in Močvara Club but has been moved to the larger space of Pogon Jedinstvo due to the high interest, is Žedno uho.
