In the prestigious Club

Since it is mid-summer, you might wish to cool down by reading about a winter topic and this interesting invitation: Zagreb, recently a member of the prestigious Club 5 whose members are traditional world cup race organizers, is inviting you to the Snow Queen VIP Trophy, which will take place next year on January 4th and 6th.

Fans of skiing, many of whom have already put Zagreb on their itineraries and in their yearly agendas, will be able to enjoy the competitive races of the Snow Queen VIP Trophy starting on January 4th 2014 with the 10th jubilee women’s slalom race. On the afternoon of the same day, there will be a legends' race, while two days later - on January 6th, the men's night slalom race will take place.

In mid-July, the director of the FIS World Cup for men, Gunter Hujara, visited Zagreb for a technical inspection. He took the opportunity to congratulate the organizers and hosts on entering the Club 5 association of traditional organizers of the World Cup. After only nine years of organizing races, Zagreb found itself in the company of Kitzbühel, Schladming, Val Gardena, Val d'Isere and many other notable organizers of the FIS World Cup races.

Club 5, the association of leading organizers of ski races, has been in existence since 1988, when the members were Val Gardena, Garmisch, Kitzbühel, Wengen and Val D'Isere. Today the association boasts 16 member cities.
