Roaming the city streets in new attire

The Zagreb Tourist Board has donned its Tourist Informers in new uniforms, which feature plans of the city, in order to help tourists find their way as quickly and easily as possible. The Tourist Informers will be roaming the streets of Zagreb until the end of October.

As they roam the squares and streets of Zagreb, Tourist Informers will be easily recognizable by their distinct uniforms, which feature plans of the city on the front as well as on the back, in order to help tourists find their way around Zagreb as quickly and easily as possible.

In 2006, the Zagreb Tourist Board introduced Tourist Informers to the city streets, thus establishing the Croatian capital as one of the first cities in Europe to offer such a service for visitors. There are ten specially-trained and educated Tourist Informers in total and they roam four of the most frequent tourist routes in the city centre each day between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., and on Sundays between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. They roam the centre of Zagreb in pairs, and one of them has the letter “i” printed on their uniform, while the other is wearing the uniform with the plans of the city. They offer information to guests in numerous languages, and they will remain on the city streets until the end of October.
