Sightseeing - Old fiacre tours the city

Tourists can now go sightseeing on a two-hundred-year-old baroque horse-drawn carriage (fiacre), and have a high-class experience whilst touring the streets of the historic Upper Town.

If you are looking for the perfect way to explore Zagreb, we recommend a new sightseeing tour on a horse-drawn carriage. The two hundred years old, golden and red baroque fiacre is operated by Zlatko Habric. His late father started the business some thirty years ago when he reintroduced horse-drawn carriages to Zagreb. The tradition now continues to bring joy to many citizens of Zagreb and the numerous tourists visiting the Croatian capital.

Fiacre sightseeing tours are organized every other Saturday between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., and every Sunday between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m., beginning on June 6th and lasting until late September. From the starting point in front of the Church of St. Katherine, the journey continues through the streets of the Upper Town, giving the whole experience a traditional and historic feel. Tours can also be organized in advance outside of the aforementioned times if the carriage operator is free, and visitors can also request a tour of the oldest park in Zagreb, the beautiful Maksimir Park.
