The musical group, Gotan Project, will perform a concert on December 8th in Tvornica Kulture as part of their exclusive European tour. The performance of this band, which is the leader in the area of electronic tango music, will also include a spectacular visual show. Zagreb is just one of thirteen cities that will host Gotan Project's multimedia concert to promote the release of their double DVD “From La Revancha Del Tango to Lunatico”.
The group was set up in Paris by Frenchman Philippe C. Solal, Argentinean Eduardo Makaroff and Swiss Christoph H. Müller, who united their love for tango and gathered some 20 or so musicians. Their first album “La Revancha Del Tango” was released in 2001 and sold more than one million copies, after which the popularity of Gotan Project continued to rise. Two years later they won the Best New Performer Award at the World Music Awards, and in 2006 they recorded their second studio album “Lunatico”. Since the album was recorded in Buenos Aires, a few top-class Argentinean musicians contributed to their project, such as singer Cristina Vilallonga, keyboard player Gustavo Beytelmann, and others.
