Summer at Stross continues until September

Once again, this summer, Zagreb’s citizens and numerous tourists will have an opportunity to enjoy various events at Stross, the popular city walkway in the Upper Town, where various cultural happenings will be ongoing until September 12th.

Come to Zagreb and spend the summer surrounded by green foliage and hidden in the deep shade of wild chestnut trees, enjoying the diverse programme of the “Summers at Stross” event, popularly known as the Strossmartre Festival, which will be taking place until September 12th.

This large summer event has immersed itself into the foliage of Zagreb’s popular Strossmayer walkway in the Upper Town, where various events have been taking place every day since late May.

Everyone will find entertainment that suits their tastes and have an opportunity to enjoy the day programmes and evening performances that feature numerous musicians, painters, antiquarians, stand-up comedians, etc.

This project was initiated several years ago by Zagreb’s well-known street musicians, The Street Kings, and apart from citizens of Zagreb it has been attracting large numbers of tourists.

It is a true pleasure to sit in the soothing ambiance of cafes, under the canopies of chestnut trees, and this atmosphere will undoubtedly impress every guest of Zagreb.

Visitors and groups of tourists can also partake in daily sightseeing tours of the Upper Town, as well as the rest of the city, which begin at the Strossmayer walkway.

Here, they are greeted by numerous artists, performers, traditional craftsmen and souvenir makers, as well as musicians, all of whom will make their time selecting gifts and souvenirs for loved ones back home more interesting and entertaining.
