Summer Craft Spot is new in Zagreb. Every Saturday from 10 June to 22 July it will attract creative souls, those who wish to learn the necessary skills to become just that or simply want to bring a handmade art object home. Fairs will take place in the Vintage Industrial Bar area, in Savska Street in the city centre. Once a month this will be a large event entitled Creative Livingroom taking place between 10 and 17 o’clock and on remaining Saturdays smaller events will be held from 17 to 21 o’clock. In addition to pleasant mingling, this fair will also host exhibitions, workshops, courses and pop-up shops of local artists.
The organiser of this interactive event is ArtiZanat, a national association that gathers local craftspeople – artists and creative persons in general who use their hands to make art objects such as jewellery and clothes, household items and similar. At the same time, they are very engaged in the involvement of local community via workshops and fairs. This association acts to bring life to and develop artistic craftsmanship which Zagreb is famous for.
