The tenth birthday of Zagreb's first lifestyle hotel
The Arcotel Allegra Zagreb Hotel, the first lifestyle hotel in Croatia, is celebrating its tenth anniversary by combining the corporate identity of Arcotel, Austrian hospitality and Croatian cordiality.
Zagreb's Arcotel Allegra Hotel was built in 2003 as part of the Arcotel Group, one of Austria's biggest tourism companies. The multifunctional design of this hotel, featuring 151 rooms, three conference halls and four business suites for exclusive meetings, offers an equal level of comfort and functionality to business guests as well as holiday makers. The hotel also boasts a diverse catering offer with a wide selection of Croatian as well as Austrian specialties and a wellness and fitness centre. Quality and creativity are the key aspects of the hotel's business so its offer is not static, but it is continuously being adapted or developed according to the guests' needs. Most of the hotel's staff has been permanently employed since the very beginning, so they are a well synchronized team fully capable of making their guests feel welcome and relaxed.
Over the last few years, the hotel’s average occupancy rate has been between 60 and 70 percent. Obviously, the figure has greatly reflected the comings and goings in the city, the events which were taking place, and the economic activities and number of investors, which are both expected to rise since Croatia's accession to the EU. More than two thirds of the hotel's guests are business guests, and a high percentage of them are regulars. Most guests arrive from Austria, Germany and Croatia, while there are also many guests from the rest of the region, as well as from Great Britain, the United States and Japan.
Satisfied with the increasing number of events in Zagreb, the hotel’s management is looking forward to an increase in the number of international happenings in the future, which will attract more foreign guests. The hotel itself, seen by its staff as the perfect blend of Austrian hospitality and Croatian cordiality, is contributing to the promotion of Zagreb and the city’s events in Austria, Germany and many other countries that are home to hotels from the Arcotel chain.
