TOMMY EMMANUEL – GUITAR VIRTUOSO IN THE STUDENT CENTRE

Virtuoso guitarist Tommy Emmanuel will be performing on 22 March in the cinema of Zagreb's Student Centre.

Tommy Emmanuel is well loved by Croatian audiences, returning eight years after his last concert, also held in Zagreb. The concert will be part of his “It's Never Too Late” tour presenting his studio album of the same name. This virtuoso has earned numerous awards over the four decades of his career. He is famed for his special technique using all ten fingers to play, and he is a holder of the Certified Guitar Player title, one of the most prestigious titles in the world of guitar playing: there are currently only five holders of the title in the world. Emmanuel avoids repetition and mostly improvises, accepting imperfection as a natural part of the performance. Tommy Emmanuel is an inspiration to young musicians; he is loved for his unerring feeling for rhythm, his brilliant acoustic guitar playing techniques and his passionate persona. He is Australia's most successful instrumental musician, holding four platinum and three gold discs.
