Zagreb in the Eyes of Students
How to present Zagreb to younger generations? Students in Zagreb certainly have interesting and original ideas on how to do this. Of the 11 competing teams, two teams shared first place. One winner was a promotional brochure featuring famous characters as tour guides (authors: Purger Team -Petra Mironović, Zrinka Kovačević, Gordana Vranješ, Goran Rađenović) and the other winner was a practical guide through the streets of Zagreb with an accompanying CD (Imation Group - Andrija Sabol, Siniša Topalović).

The panel of judges also selected two runners up: a promotional brochure written in slang (Anlaser Group) and one which takes visitors to the top ten attractions in Zagreb (MNZG Group).
The project Check Zagreb started last October under the organization of the Students' Association AISEC Zagreb. Its main objective was to promote Zagreb as a tourist destination to visitors in the neighboring countries as well as in the 103 countries where AISEC is present.
One part of the project was to design promotional brochures for younger generations and to present them to a panel of judges who would then select the best work. The competitors were students at Zagreb University who have a particular interest in tourism. They were given one month to design a brochure based on a set of criteria which would present the capital of Croatia as an attractive destination for the young. The competition was held over the past two months at the School of Economics, and the panel had a hard time selecting a winner from the 11 impressive project results.
AISEC Zagreb is part of the global students' AISEC network. It was established in 1953 at the School of Economics in Zagreb.
