Sljeme Cable Car

The new Sljeme cable car allows passengers to enjoy an impressive view of Zagreb and its surroundings.

The cable route covers a distance of 5017 meters and has 84 gondolas with ten passenger seats each. The exterior of the gondolas is fitted with a rack for skis and sports equipment. The ride between the departure station in Gračansko dolje and the Sljeme viewpoint will take 16 to 22 minutes, depending on travel speed, and has the capacity to transport around 1500 passengers per hour.

The valley station is located next to the tram turnaround, line 15 (Mihaljevac - Gračansko dolje), in Gračansko dolje, whereas in the cable car zone you can find bus stops providing lines 140 (Mihaljevac - Sljeme), 227 (Svetice - Gornji Bukovac - Gračansko dolje) and 233 (Mihaljevac - Markuševec). There is a two-story public underground garage with over 200 parking spaces located in the valley station.

Located on the first floor are ticket offices and restrooms, as well as access to the boarding area for passengers.

HOW TO GET THERE?

The bus lines that will take you to the departure station in Gračansko polje are 140 (Mihaljevac – Sljeme), 227 (Svetice - Gornji Bukovac - Gračansko dolje) and 233 (Mihaljevac – Markuševec). There are bus stops on Gračanska cesta in the area of the Sljeme cable car.

Jesse Eisenberg (actor) spent the autumn in Zagreb in 2007: Zagreb is an incredible town. I enjoyed sightseeing the old parts of the town, and at night I went to clubs. I was thrilled that it was near Austria and Italy, so I visited Venice, Milan, Ljubljana, Graz, Split... over the weekends.

I like Lisinski very much. It was very intense to perform there, because people came, listened carefully and felt the music in their hearts. Lisinski is a beautiful concert hall, and I am very honored to be performing there. I have wonderful memories of my first performance in Lisinski.
