Funicular

The Zagreb Funicular is the oldest means of public transportation in Zagreb.

+385 1 48 33 912

It links the Donji grad and Gornji grad parts of Zagreb every day and on holidays from 6.30 AM to 10 PM. The rides are every 10 minutes, and a one-way ticket costs 0,66 €. In case of emergency, the passengers can pay 3,32 € for an urgent ride. Monthly, yearly, as well as single tickets are all valid for the Funicular.

Compared to other public-transport funiculars, this one is the world’s shortest, with the track length of 66 meters. Since it has kept its original appearance and construction, as well as most of its original technical properties, the Zagreb Funicular is protected as a monument of culture.

The average speed is: 1.5 m/s.

Ride duration: 64 seconds.

Capacity: 28 adults (16 seats, 12 standing places).

Ticket price: 0,66 €; emergency ride: 3,32 € (plus a ticket per person).

Zagreb Card (www.zagrebcard.com) offers free rides on this 130 year-old city lady!

I like Lisinski very much. It was very intense to perform there, because people came, listened carefully and felt the music in their hearts. Lisinski is a beautiful concert hall, and I am very honored to be performing there. I have wonderful memories of my first performance in Lisinski.

Jesse Eisenberg (actor) spent the autumn in Zagreb in 2007: Zagreb is an incredible town. I enjoyed sightseeing the old parts of the town, and at night I went to clubs. I was thrilled that it was near Austria and Italy, so I visited Venice, Milan, Ljubljana, Graz, Split... over the weekends.
