Each passing day in August brings us one day closer to a big, long awaited concert at Šalata. Duran Duran, one of the greatest pop bands of all times, is coming back to Croatia after 16 years since their first, and until now only performance here.
“Why Are Bees More Important than Humans?” is the name of an exhibition at the Croatian Natural History Museum.
Between the 1950s and the 1970s one of the favourite activities of the people of Zagreb was the dance.
History, art and good beer all have their new routes on the Zagreb Be There mobile app.
Until 20 August in the Museum of Arts and Crafts the people of Zagreb and their guests have the chance to see an exhibition of examples of the design of signage in large systems, curated by Nada Dogan and Isabel Jägle.
Hrvatska pošta (Croatian Post), in cooperation with the Zagreb Tourist Board and the City of Zagreb has promoted special postage stamps which show Dolac market and St Mark’s Church.

The Zagreb Picnic in Maksimir Park, the wonderful atmosphere of one of the most beautiful parks in Europe, and a pleasant gathering! Over the whole summer, right up to September, every Saturday from 10:00 to 20:00, on the field by the second lake in the Maksimir Park.

Jesse Eisenberg (actor) spent the autumn in Zagreb in 2007: Zagreb is an incredible town. I enjoyed sightseeing the old parts of the town, and at night I went to clubs. I was thrilled that it was near Austria and Italy, so I visited Venice, Milan, Ljubljana, Graz, Split... over the weekends.

I remember Zagreb as a beautiful city, and the people I met were very nice and offered me a warm welcome. The audience was wonderful as well. Really, that concert has been like a lovely souvenir.
