Athletics stars from all over the world will compete at the 65th Boris Hanžeković Memorial which will take place at the stadium of the Mladost Sport Park on September 8th. On the eve of the athletics meet, there will be a shot put contest in a particularly attractive location.
If you like to eat well, and you enjoy films, make sure to visit Zrinjevac between September 11th and 20th and partake in the first FOOD FILM FESTIVAL. Zagreb’s top chefs and confectioners will be preparing the delicacies featured in some of the best known foodie films as you watch them on the big screen.
Due to great public interest, the major exhibition “Leonardo da Vinci – The Genius and his Inventions” has been extended, so make sure to use the opportunity and discover the great mind of the famous Renaissance painter and creator of many ingenious inventions.
Between September 14th and 19th, the 48th PIF – International Festival of Puppet Theatres will take place at several locations around the city. Youngsters and adults alike can look forward to a very interesting programme.
Between September 5th and 19th, Cesarčeva Street, located in the heart of the city, will be the venue for the first Vintage Zagreb Festival which will take visitors back to the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s of last century. Make sure to visit and discover why these decades were so special.
On November 7th, fans of electronic music will have the opportunity to enjoy a performance by French musician St. Germain at the Culture Factory (Tvornica Kulture). Along with a band of nine musicians, he will promote his latest album “Real Blues”.
On September 5th and 6th, take your family and friends to the first ZZZagreb Food Festival in the Square of Josip Juraj Strossmayer and taste various specialties from some of Zagreb’s best known restaurants.
In the second half of September, Zagreb will join a number of other European cities that offer young travellers the USE-IT map which is intended to make their stay more pleasurable and help them explore the city.
