Life in the city of Zagreb would not be the same without the string of beautiful parks in the very heart of the city. If you want to take a break in the shade of sumptuous trees, enjoy the view of flowerbeds, take a stroll or visit an open-air gallery – the parks of Zagreb are ready for your visit.
The recently opened Metropolis Music & Billiards Club, on Dubrovnik Avenue in New Zagreb, is a new nightlife venue with daily evening programmes. The club will feature performances by various bands and DJs, as well as large concerts and themed evenings.
Three of Zagreb’s museums – the Archaeological Museum, the Museum of Arts and Crafts and the Mimara Museum have joined forces to present one exhibition titled “Transparent Beauty – Glass from Croatian Museums”, which presents the history of glass-making over the past four thousand years.
A concert cycle, “The Sounds of the Organ of Zagreb’s Cathedral”, which started last year, continues to offer fans of this musical instrument the opportunity to enjoy concerts by excellent Croatian as well as foreign organists at Zagreb’s Cathedral on every first and third Sunday of the month.
On October 2nd, the Tvornica Kulture (Culture Factory) will be the venue for a concert by one of the best guitarists in the world – Joe Bonamassa. He already performed in Croatia three years ago, but now he is returning exclusively for this concert in Zagreb.
Apart from various events and more than seven hundred plays that will take place as part of this year’s Zagreb Cultural Summer on some forty stages in the city, Zagreb’s citizens and their guests can also look forward to a diverse programme at Bundek Lake.
Make sure not to miss Tea Time Music, beginning every Thursday at 5 p.m. at the Oleander Terrace of the Esplanade Hotel, where the band Soulfingers will entertain you with unforgettable soul music and film soundtracks for four hours at a time. Entrance is free.
Theatre lovers will once again have the opportunity to enjoy plays under the stars because Theater Exit's Summer Nights are starting on July 2nd at the Museum of Arts and Crafts.
