    Changing of the Guard

    When in Zagreb on weekends, make sure not to miss the attractive Changing of the Guard of Honour of the Cravat Regiment, which begins exactly at noon at St. Mark’s Square. Apart from enjoying an interesting ceremony in the beautiful setting of the Upper Town, this is another opportunity to get to know Zagreb’s history and learn something about Croatia’s important contribution to the fashion world.

    On May 31st, the day of the City of Zagreb, the Zagreb Tourist Board is organizing free sightseeing tours of the city for Zagreb’s citizens and their guests, as well as many other interesting outdoor events.

    The Jarun Picnic Festival and the Zagreb Adventure Festival

    Between May 1st and May 5th, Zagreb’s Jarun Lake will be the venue for two festivals – the 1st Jarun Picnic Festival and the 2nd Zagreb Adventure Festival, the latter is scheduled to take place over the weekend. Visit the Island of Croatian Youth and enjoy numerous exciting sporting activities and other forms of entertainment.

The festival is a unique international event of urban culture, whose interesting and diverse programme will be performed by disabled persons.

    Yo La Tengo at Tvornica Kulture

    Performing in Zagreb for the first time as part of their European tour with which they are promoting their latest studio album “Fade”, one of the most renowned American indie rock bands, Yo La Tengo, will hold a concert on November 8th at Tvornica Kulture (The Culture Factory).

    Jesse Eisenberg (actor) spent the autumn in Zagreb in 2007: Zagreb is an incredible town. I enjoyed sightseeing the old parts of the town, and at night I went to clubs. I was thrilled that it was near Austria and Italy, so I visited Venice, Milan, Ljubljana, Graz, Split... over the weekends.
