A Concert Spectacle at Šalata - Duran Duran
Each passing day in August brings us one day closer to a big, long awaited concert at Šalata. Duran Duran, one of the greatest pop bands of all times, is coming back to Croatia after 16 years since their first, and until now only performance here.
The Croatian audience, as well as that from the whole region, will have the chance to see this big open air summer spectacle on 29 August at Šalata.
Duran Duran without a doubt is one of the greatest mainstream bands and musical institutions which has given us some of the greatest pop hits of all time. Their career now spans 35 years, 14 studio albums and more than 100 million records sold around the world as well as countless awards. What started as an alternative music story in Birmingham, England in just two years grew into a international sensation. The band is remembered for the albums "Duran Duran", "Rio", "Seven And The Ragged Tiger", "Notorious", "Big Thing", "Thank You", "Red Carpet Massacre" and the acclaimed latest album "Paper Gods" which the band is promoting on this big world tour. It is as a part of the “Paper Gods” world tour that the band is arriving in Zagreb.
Led by the charismatic Simon Le Bon, Duran Duran as music and fashion icons have influenced generations of musicians and pop culture itself. They are one of the bands whose songs have been covered most, with artists like Franz Ferdinand, Korn, Deftones, Courtney Love and Hole giving us their vision of Duran Duran’s legacy.
