2Cellos at the Arena

After a successful concert held late last year at the Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall, 2Cellos will once again appear in front of a Croatian audience. On 12 June, the famous cellists, Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser, will be performing with the Zagreb Philharmonic at the Zagreb Arena.

On 12 June, the Zagreb Arena will be the venue for a concert by 2Cellos. The world famous duo, Luka Šulić and Stjepan Hauser, will perform the first half of the concert with the Zagreb Philharmonic.

The story of the two famous cellists from Croatia is truly interesting. It began with their cover of Michael Jackson’s hit “Smooth Criminal”, which they uploaded to YouTube and immediately attracted the attention of numerous fans, as well as globally renowned musicians. New covers ensued, and shortly thereafter they released their first CD consisting of their unique covers of rock hits such as Guns’n’Roses’ “Welcome to the Jungle”, Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, and U2’s “With or Without You”… Their musical talent was also recognized by Sir Elton John who hired them to join him and his band on his world tour last year, and their collaboration is to continue this year as well. 

2Cellos are also the first guest instrumentalists to perform on the popular American musical comedy show “Glee”. The episode featuring 2Cellos aired on the Fox television network late this January, and the day before they were guests on the famous Ellen DeGeneres Show. 

Luka and Stjepan are excited about their upcoming performance before a Croatian audience, and there is no doubt the concert at the Arena will attract numerous fans from all over Croatia as well as the region.
