Among the 50 best festivals in the world

The accolades have not yet ceased in global media after the conclusion of the 7th consecutive edition of the INmusic Festival, which took place in June of this year at Jarun Lake. CNN International has included it among the 50 best music festivals in the world, while the travel portal GlobalGrasshopper lists it among the 10 best in Europe.

For the seventh year in a row, Zagreb was host to the INmusic Festival, a three day open-air music event hailed as one of the best in Europe. Praise by the global media has not yet ceased after this year’s edition. CNN International, for example, has included Zagreb’s INmusic Festival on their list of the 50 best festivals in the world.

This list comprises many festivals which have much longer traditions, such as the Danish Roskilde Festival, the Spanish Primavera, Belgian Rock Werchter, the American Bonnaroo Festival, Japanese Fuji Rock and many others.

The British edition of the Times has included the INmusic Festival on their list of the 20 best summer music festivals in the world for two years in a row, and the festival has also gained a great reputation in Europe thanks to the travel portal GlobalGrasshopper, which lists it among the 10 best European festivals.

Apart from gaining deserved rankings on the lists of the best music festivals in the world, this year’s edition of the INmusic Festival has also joined the likes of key events in the world of music in other ways. Therefore, the performances by bands such as New Order, Gogol Bordello, the Archie Bronson Outfit, Dry The River and many others will be available for viewing on the festival’s YouTube channel.

Since its early days, the INmusic Festival has featured performances by numerous music legends from around the globe. Among them were Morrissey, Franz Ferdinad, Iggy Pop, Sonic Youth, Nick Cave & The Beed Seeds, The Prodigy,  Stereo MC's, Moby, Kraftwerk, Massive Attack, Billy Idol, The Flaming Lips, Alice in Chains, Jamiroquai, Cypres Hill, Mando Diao and many others. This year alone, there were some fifty performers lined-up to perform on three stages, and they were cheered on by approximately 50,000 people who had come to Zagreb from all around the globe for some great music and an excellent atmosphere.
