An ice rink in the heart of the city

Once again this year, fans of ice-skating will have the opportunity to enjoy themselves at the “Nice Ice” skating rink. Located in the heart of the city, it will be open to the public at Ban Josip Jelačić Square for ten weeks as of December 6th.

Once again this year, fans of ice-skating will have the opportunity to visit the ice rink, which will be located in the heart of the city. However, instead of the Regent Esplanade Hotel terrace, this year the “Nice Ice” rink will be located at Ban Josip Jelačić Square, in front of the Gradska kavana. The opening has been announced for December 6th at 9 a.m. and, to mark the first anniversary of its existence, all visitors will have the opportunity to ice-skate for free on that day until noon.

Apart from loads of fun, recreation, entertainment, and numerous events, fans of ice-skating can also expect an array of attractive programmes that will be organized over the ten week duration that the rink will remain open to the public. Apart from ice-skating lessons, there will also be organized tournaments in curling, a sport in which four-member teams that try to place eight stone balls as close as possible to the centre marked by circles on the ice, by using only brooms and brushes.

Team-bonding programmes will be organized in order to give work colleagues a chance to get to know each other and strengthen their team spirit. Moreover, there will also be various surprises for the youngsters, including the possibility of organized birthday parties. Parents are free to organize birthday parties however they desire, which could entail a themed party or just to have fun in the company of friends and loved ones.
