Cheaper by rail

A cooperation contract has been recently signed between the Croatia Express travel agency and German Rail to offer Croatian passengers cheaper travel packages. Moreover, apart from connections between Germany and Zagreb, trips to and from other European countries can also be arranged.

In order to offer passengers the fastest, safest and cheapest possible travel opportunities, the Croatia Express travel agency has recently signed a contract with German Rail. This will entail the opening of one authorised sales office in Croatia, which will connect with the DB Bahn network system. Passengers can now buy tickets to travel within Germany for prices starting at 19 Euros, or travel from Zagreb to Berlin for a ticket fare starting at just 39 Euros.

Croatia Express operates as part of the Željezničko ugostiteljstvo company – an agency established by the Croatian railway network in 1968. Its purpose was to promote rail travel and to offer a wider and better service to customers in line with prevalent market trends. In cooperation with the Amadeus Croatia Company, the Croatia Express travel agency has provided customers with access to DB Bahn’s offerings via the Amadeus global reservation system. Therefore, customers who purchase tickets at Croatia Express now have all of the benefits that were, thus far, only available in Germany. Tickets can also be purchased online, however with limited opportunities.

Apart from Germany, passengers can now reserve or buy tickets for high speed trains operating throughout Europe. This offer is valid for the Eurostar trains which connect Paris and Brussels with London, as well as for Talgo and AVE trains which operate within Spain, and Thalys trains which operate between Germany, Belgium and France.
