Between July 17th and 19th, Medvedgrad, the best preserved 13th century fort, will be the venue for Medvedgrad Music Evenings. This attractive cultural event, hosted at the unique venue of the old fort located in the Medvedgrad Nature Park, which commands breathtaking views of Zagreb, will be a real treat for fans of memorable music events. Make sure to get your tickets on time: there is a lot of interest and the number of seats for these open-air concerts is limited.

The organizer of the Medvedgrad Music Evenings is the Centre for Culture and Film August Cesarec, in cooperation with the Medvednica Nature Park and Menart BPM.

This year’s Medvedgrad Music Evenings will be opened by the pop group Meritas, whose two female members have many years of experience and interesting career paths. The second day will feature performances by the Slovenian singer/songwriter Zoran Predin, accompanied by the Damir Kukuruzović Django Group, while the event will be closed by a concert by the Tamara Obrovac Transhistria Quartet.

The novelty of this year’s Medvedgrad Music Evenings is the special programme “Acoustics at the Fort”, featuring acoustic concerts by the young female Croatian singer/songwriters Queen of Sabe, Nina Romić and Sara Renar. In cooperation with the acoustic serial Akustika these performances will take place at the Medvedgrad fort before the main concerts, with only around twenty people being able to attend.

The concert venue at Medvedgrad can be reached by car and by the free mini-bus transport provided throughout the duration of the event. The departure point is in front of St. Mirko’s Church in Šestine.
