Culinary workshops for tourists with disabilities
Every weekend, the Ključić Centre on Nova Ves is the venue for free culinary workshops for tourists which have been adapted for persons with special needs and organized by the Association of Teacher Education in the catering education.
Every weekend, the Association of Teacher Education in the catering education, U.N.U.O. , founded with the goal of providing persons with disabilities with cooking skills, organizes free culinary workshops for tourists. In cooperation with the Ministry of Tourism and the Zagreb Tourist Board, the workshops take place on weekends at the Ključić Centre on Nova Ves 10, and they are entirely adapted for people with special needs.
The workshop attendees will have the opportunity to learn how to prepare and taste Croatian national dishes, create original Croatian souvenirs, hang out with guests from other countries and share their experiences about Croatia with the other participants. The workshops are organized for a maximum of 12 people, and they are very popular among participants, which is obvious from their comments on the association’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/centarunio and the impressions book.
If you are interested in participating in one of the workshops, all you have to do is fill out an application form and wait for an email that will notify you about whether your application has been accepted or not.
Since 2009, Association of Teacher Education in the catering education has been active in developing a very intensive cooperation with the Slava Raškaj Educational Centre for Deaf-mute Children, the Imagine Association, and many others with whom they have realized an array of very successful and internationally recognized projects.
