Grič Tunnel Exhibition Voted Best in World – the IIDA Global Excellence Award for “Croatia is Hrvatska”.
This interactive multimedia exhibition, which ran during Autumn 2017 in the Grič tunnel, earned a prestigious international award for the best designed exhibition space.
The team from Zagreb’s Brigada agency has won the IIDA Global Excellence international award for the best designed exhibition space for the exhibition “Croatia is Hrvatska”! The exhibition was created to mark 133 years of the Croatia Osiguranje insurance company. It was an interactive multimedia exhibition set up in Autumn 2017 in Zagreb’s Grič tunnel. Alongside Brigada, which took care of the design of the space, the project was created and brought to life by the corporate communications teams at Adris Group and Croatia Osiguranje, the agencies Bruketa&Žinić&Grey and Millenium promocija, in partnership with Zagreb Tourist Board. The exhibition was designed as a time machine through the parallel histories of Croatia, Zagreb and Croatia Osiguranje, and included in a unique way the personal and family histories of visitors.
Visitors to the exhibition were able to complete the exhibition with their family stories, so that their personal histories stood shoulder to shoulder with those of famous figures from history.
The IIDA is an international association of interior designers. This international competition is held annually and evaluates originality and excellence in interior design and interior architecture. Alongside Croatia Osiguranje, award winners included developers from China, Taiwan, Japan, Australia and the United States. Explaining the reasons for their decision, the judges said that the winners showed how powerful excellent design can be in connecting with people on an emotional level.
As well as this prestigious award, one of the most influential regional websites for the advertising and communications industry, Media Marketing, voted the exhibition “Croatia is Hrvatska” event of the year.
