Iced Earth, one of the leading bands on the global metal scene, will once again visit Zagreb to hold a concert at Pogon Jedinstvo on January 25th 2014. After their spectacular performance with the British band Saxon at the Boogaloo Club in 2009, Iced Earth will hold their second concert in Zagreb as part of their Plague Tour 2014, during which they will be promoting their latest, eleventh studio album – “Plagues of Babylon”.

The band was founded as “Purgatory”, in Indiana in 1984, by guitarist and songwriter Jon Schaffer, and was renamed “Iced Earth” after the move to Florida. With their 1988 demo album, “Enter the Realm”, the band gained the attention of fans as well as Century Media Records, the label with which it is still associated today. The band went on to record a number of very successful albums, including “The Dark Saga”, “Something Wicked This Way Comes”, and “Horror Show”, shooting straight to the top of the global metal scene. During this tour, audiences will have the opportunity to hear songs from their latest, eleventh album – a true treat for fans of this American heavy metal band.

The opening acts for the Iced Earth concert will be the American thrash metal band Warbringer, promoting its fourth album – “IV: Empires Collapse”, and the Australian heavy metal band Elm Street, whose only studio album thus far was in 2011.
