The Faculty of Textile Technology of the University of Zagreb, in association with the Museum for Arts and Crafts, will organize the 3rd Fashion Closet from November 20 – 30, 2008. This is a fashion and social event which aims to promote and affirm young fashion designers by way of bringing together fashion professionals and educational institutions which train future designers.

The Fashion Closet is a non-profit faculty project composed of a variety of parts. Within the framework of the fashion event, there will be 21 fashion shows, divided into the categories: prêt-a-porter, street fashion and haute couture with awards at the end of the competition for each category. Another event will be an exhibition of students' product designs and graphic designs that are based on the fashion photography theme, followed by an independent show and a fashion show of designers from the Netherlands, Slovenia and Serbia.

The organization of this fashion event offers the opportunity for students and up-and-coming designers to present their works, but also to become a part of the domestic fashion scene as soon as possible. In the last few years, this event has served as the launching pad for the careers of many young and talented fashion designers.
