Manu Chao in April

After nine long years, the French musician of Spanish heritage, Manu Chao, will once again hold a concert in Zagreb. As part of his latest tour “La Ventura” he is scheduled to perform on April 4th at the small hall of Dom Sportova.

After nine long years since his last performance in Zagreb, the unique French musician, Manu Chao, will hold a concert in the small hall of Dom Sportova on April 4th, as part of his latest tour “La Ventura”.

According to Multiculture and INmusic, the organizers of this concert, the legendary musician's performance will consist of a diverse set of songs from all of his albums. Manu Chao released his latest album, La Radiolina, in 2007, and after a relatively short performing hiatus he once again embarked on a world tour to promote his unique music style.

Consisting of a combination of frenetic punk-rock, Spanish guitar, reggae, ska, French chanson, Ibero-American salsa and Algerian raï, all of his musical influences are drawn from his family roots. He is known as a French musician of Spanish origin, but he also draws part of his musical worldview from French immigrants from Northern Africa. He sings in Spanish, French, Gaelic, Arabic, and Portuguese, as well as the African Wolof languages; he often combines several different languages in his songs.

For this concert he will be accompanied by a two-member band, and ticket prices are 190 Kuna. After his concert in Zagreb, Manu Chao will also perform in Sarajevo, Novi Sad, Pristine, Tirana, Sofia, Bucharest, and Istanbul.
