Place2go has holiday tips

The second edition of the International Tourism Fair Place2go, which will take place between 15 and 17 March at the Zrinjevac – Boćarski Dom, will once again present the best holiday destinations in Croatia as well as abroad. Visitors can look forward to numerous events and valuable awards.

This year’s second edition of the International Tourism Fair Place2go, taking place between 15 and 17 March at the Zrinjevac – Boćarski Dom, will provide all visitors with answers to their dilemmas about where to go on holiday this year. Once again, this year, the fair will feature the best of the best from the world of travel, and over the course of three days it will present offers for long haul travels around the globe to places such as the United States, Indonesia, Qatar, Thailand, the Maldives and many closer, European destinations. Of course, the numerous possibilities for a fun holiday in Croatia will also be presented.

Apart from presenting the main tourist attractions, the tourist agencies that will be promoting their services at the fair will also be offering numerous discounts to visitors. Those who prefer to organize their own trip will have the opportunity to find out everything they need to know about flights by most of the airlines that operate out of Croatia.

The second edition of the fair has attracted significantly more exhibitors than last year’s, so this year Place2go will be taking place in two large halls, while another novelty is the attractive Gastro Street, where visitors will have the opportunity to indulge in the diverse gastronomic pleasures of many countries. The stars on Gastro Street will be chefs from Croatia and from all over the world who will be presenting the flavours of Turkey, France, Thailand, India and the gastronomically diverse Croatian regions to the visitors. After this holiday for the taste buds, visitors will have the opportunity to visit the attractive Place2go market, featuring numerous souvenirs and indigenous products.

Throughout the duration of the fair there will be numerous concurrent lectures and presentations featuring various forms of travel and destinations, which will be complemented by numerous videos and photographs by experienced travellers. Besides that, a Kid’s Corner will be set up for the children, where the youngsters will have the opportunity to get to know the world of travel through video games and various other means. Visitors will also have a chance to benefit as numerous prize giveaways have also been organized.

Like last year, the most interesting prize contest will be the “Place2go Passport”, consisting of visitors walking through the fair and gathering stamps in their passports in order to win a prize, some of which are two Austrian Airlines flights to Bangkok, a stay at the luxurious Le Touessrok Hotel on Mauritius, a trip to Krakow, Milan and the Northern Italian lakes, a weekend in Berlin, etc.

The organizer of the fair is the Studio Damjana Company, and it is being held under the auspices of the city of Zagreb, the Zagreb Tourist Board, the Croatian Tourist Board and the Association of Croatian Travel Agencies.
