Rock Legends in Dom Sportova – Toto Plays for Zagreb
American rock group Toto, one of the greatest and most highly regarded groups in history, will be performing in Zagreb’s Dom Sportova on Friday 9 March in 2018.
The concert is part of the “40 Trips Around the Sun” tour on which Steve Lukather, David Paich, Steve Porcaro and Joseph Williams will set off in February next year. This tour, which will include their first ever performance in Croatia, marks four decades of the band’s existence. In a programme lasting more than two hours, the concert in Dom Sportova will encompass the band’s entire career which is most remembered for mega hits such as “Africa”, “Hold the Line” and “Rosanna”.
In parallel with the tour Toto will release a compilation of the same name on which the greatest hits will be remastered together will some completely new songs. To get an idea of the kind of musicians that make up the band, it is worth knowing that both as band members and independent and session musicians they have together taken part in creating more than 5000 albums which have sold more than 500 million copies and earned 200 nominations for Grammy awards. Steve Lukather has, for example, played on more than 1500 releases, of which the most significant is most probably his guitar solo on Michael Jackson’s “Beat It”. Toto are coming to both Croatia and Zagreb for the first time. Tickets sales start on Friday 25 August at 200 kuna. From 20 November to 8 March tickets will cost 230 kuna, and on the day of the concert 260 kuna. Tickets are on sale at all Eventim outlets and on www.eventim.hr.
