Surf our website in 14 languages!

The redesigned website of the Zagreb Tourist Board now offers the possibility of browsing in 14 different languages. Among an array of new features is the possibility of online hotel booking; moreover, there are plans to expand to more social networking sites.

With the goal of achieving simplified but better possibilities for browsing tourist information, the Zagreb Tourist Board has recently redesigned its website, which can be viewed at the same address: www.zagreb-touristinfo.hr.

The website can now be browsed in 14 different languages, including Esperanto, and the new design has also introduced an array of new technical features. The most important and, for tourists, the most interesting information relates to the new HRS Online Booking system, which enables guests to reserve a room in any of Zagreb’s hotels via our website. By introducing new video content, the facilities and their offerings are even better presented to potential visitors.

We have also introduced many other novelties and present over1300 accommodation and dining facilities (54 hotels, 197 restaurants, motels, hostels, private accommodation, etc.) that have now been divided into 46 distinct categories.
There is also a list totalling 22,976 events, downloadable brochures in PDF (Adobe Reader) format, and expanded photo galleries. For certain facilities there are also integrated widgets for Facebook and Skyscanner.

Recognizing the important role of social networks, the Zagreb Tourist Board has already joined some of them. Although we have only started active integration into social networking at the beginning of the year, we can proudly say that we already have several thousand fans on our Facebook page. Some twenty videos have been uploaded to YouTube, while our MySpace page features a specialized profile for a rich selection of projects for the “Zagreb Time machine”. We have recently also opened a Twitter account. Since the beginning of July, Zagreb has had its profile active on networks such as Delicious, Digg, RSS Feeds, and other networks that allow the exchange of information and tags for measuring page popularity. There are plans to expand to even more popular social networking sites.

In addition, the newly updated website of the Zagreb Tourist Board will, from now on, feature our monthly newsletter with all the important news and events in the city! Since 2006, we have issued a total of 40 newsletters, which we send out to 11,000 addresses, and 11 Travel Alerts, which we began publishing last year, in December.

Of course, the current version of the website is not finalized, because each new technological novelty as well as each new event in Zagreb will result in changes and expansions to the website, in order to allow tourists to quickly and simply access the information they are looking for.
