The 8th ZeGeVege - A festival of sustainable living

On September 4th and 5th, Zagreb’s main square will be the venue for the 8th ZeGeVege Festival. The many fans of sustainable living are once again expected to visit the exhibit area and an array of educational and entertaining events.

On September 4th and 5th, Zagreb’s main square of Ban Josip Jelačić will be the venue for the 8th edition of the ZeGeVege Festival of sustainable living, which will also be the largest festival yet. The unique festival in Croatia will feature twenty stands occupied by domestic and foreign exhibitors who will present their offer of healthy foods and environmentally friendly beauty products that were not tested on animals. The festival will also feature vegan restaurants, non-profit organizations and other types of related exhibitors. Since the festival regularly brings together numerous fans of sustainable living, the exhibition will be complemented by various educational and entertaining events. Among other things, visitors of this year’s ZeGeVege Festival will have the opportunity to learn something new at the cooking workshops, and there will also be a children’s corner with workshops for the youngsters, free cosmetic and hair treatments, various tastings and promotional sales, screenings of documentary films, award giveaways and raffles, as well as a diverse music programme.

The ZeGeVege Festival is part of the international Veganmania project, which is taking place in 15 cities across Europe and is organized by the Animal Friends Association under the auspices of the City of Zagreb. The festival is also backed by the City Office for Health, the Environment Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund, the Croatian Chamber of Economy – Tourism Section, the City Office for Economy, Labour and Entrepreneurship, the Croatian Environment Agency, the Croatian Agriculture and Forestry Agency, the City Office for Energy, Environment Protection and Sustainable Development, and the Zagreb Tourist Board.
