The Biggest Hostel in Zagreb Reopens it Doors

The first guests have already praised the first stage of the renovations that have just been completed at the largest hostel in Zagreb. The works to renovate the remainder of the hotel premises are scheduled to continue in the second half of this year.

The recently renovated and biggest city hostel, located in downtown Zagreb on Petrinjska Street, has reopened its doors to students and the young from all over the world. The first stage of the renovation works included the reconstruction of the bathrooms on all five floors, which now meet the most modern standards, as well as all the rooms on the top two floors of the hostel. The first guests were delighted with the décor, design and functionality of the renovated rooms and had nothing but words of praise about them. In addition to the new furniture, furnishings and bed-linen in cheerful colors and design, the rooms also feature new IT corners with work desks and computers. The renovation of the remaining rooms is scheduled to start in the second part of the year.

The youth hostel on Petrinjska Street has a total of 210 beds and is managed by the Croatian Youth Hostel Association. It is opened year round. Its biggest selling point is the fact that it is located a short walk from the main bus and railway stations and conveniently close to many of the city’s highlights. As many as 80 per cent of the hostel’s guests are foreigners, mostly individuals, as well as sports clubs and school children on excursions.

Zagreb offers a number of hostels to young travelers. The most recently opened hostel is Carpe Diem, not far from the city center, in the neighborhood of Medvešćak. It is a small facility with tastefully decorated rooms and common areas and available access to the Internet. Hostel Fulir is in the very center of the city on Radićeva Street. A bit further from the city center is Ravnice Hostel, in the eastern namesake neighborhood. MGM Hostel is in the southern  part of the city in the Kajzerica neighborhood, and hostels Lika and Fala are in the vicinity of the main bus stop.

All these facilities fully meet the wishes and needs of young travelers. In each facility guests can obtain information about the hottest entertainment spots in Croatia’s capital.
