The Church of St. Dismas is located on the corner of Zvonarnicka  and Nova Ves  Streets, and it is unique in the world because it is dedicated to the saint it is named after. For anyone who does not know the Bible well, the penitent thief Dismas, a child from a family of thieves, was crucified on a cross to the right of Jesus, and before he died he asked for forgiveness of his sins and was granted his wish.

The church was built in 1706 and completely renovated thanks to the persistence of priest Mijo Gabrić. The church features the sandals of Mother Theresa, which she gave to him as she received the Nobel Peace Prize in Oslo in 1979. Since it is a unique sacral structure in the world, with many interesting historic stories behind it, it will certainly attract numerous tourists. Visitors will learn all the historic facts about the church from a historian who speaks five languages.
