Zagreb Wine Gourmet Festival 2011

At this year’s Zagreb Wine Gourmet Festival, visitors will have an opportunity to taste several hundreds of specially selected wines from 130 to 140 winemakers from Croatia and abroad. The Zagreb Wine Gourmet Festival will take place on the 25th and 26th of February at the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Sponsored by the Ministry of Tourism and the Museum of Contemporary Art, the fourth edition of the Zagreb Wine Gourmet Festival 2011, will be held on the 25th and 26th of February. The organizer of this unique, lifestyle exhibition is Laniva Ltd and, for the first time, the Zagreb Wine Gourmet Festival will take place at the Museum of Contemporary Art. This year’s event will feature products from some 130 to 140 top class winemakers and delicatessen producers from Croatia as well as abroad.


Tied to this event is a diverse programme of workshops, tastings, and culinary presentations by chefs from famous restaurants across the globe; so far, all of these aforementioned events have taken place in various museums throughout Zagreb. Apart from bringing together numerous wine connoisseurs, the Zagreb Wine Gourmet Festival is also a place of gathering for numerous hoteliers, caterers and journalists.

During the third edition of the festival, visitors had an opportunity to taste almost 600 specially selected wines from Italy, Germany, New Zealand, Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina and, of course, Croatia. Wine buyers from London and San Francisco participated in last year’s festival for the first time; it is evident that this festival has grown from a mere presentation into an event for business meetings.
