Providing aid and admission of refugees from war-torn Ukraine in the area of the city of Zagreb

In the area of the city of Zagreb, accommodation is organized in the reception center in Motel Plitvice, Hostel Rakitje and Tomislavov dom, where basic humanitarian aid (food, hygiene, clothes, bedding...) is provided, as well as psychosocial support.

All persons arriving are registered, and if necessary, the Croatian Red Cross Tracking Service helps them to get in touch with their loved ones.
The Croatian Red Cross invites people from Ukraine who entered Croatia and settled in a private arrangement to contact the nearest Red Cross association in order to register and receive the necessary aid.

Other information related to humanitarian aid for displaced persons from Ukraine

Croatian Caritas has made available its human resources and experience in organizing the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid needed to raise the capacity of emergency assistance in the organization of Caritas Ukraine, and will conduct fundraising to support cooperation with them.

Money to help Ukraine can be donated:
• via online payment at www.caritas.hr (urgent actions in the world – Ukraine)
• by payment to the giro account of Croatian Caritas with Privredna banka Zagreb d.d.; IBAN: HR0523400091100080340; SWIFT/BIC: PBZGHR2X; purpose of payment: assistance to Ukraine
• by calling the donation phone 060 9010 (price per call HRK 6.25, VAT included)

All those who can offer accommodation to people fleeing Ukraine with their animals can contact the Animal Friends Association, which is in close contact with Ukrainian animal protection associations; accommodation is available to animals and their owners, but also only to animals.

You can bring your donations to the Animal Friends’ office (Jurišićeva 25, Zagreb) on business days from 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m., and you can also make a donation for the specified purpose (reference: Peace for Ukraine) on the following IBAN: HR9424020061500072878.

UNICEF Croatia has increased its efforts to secure continuous supply of water, medical aid and other necessary humanitarian aid and psychosocial support for children. You can help the children of Ukraine with a single or recurring monthly donation. More info at: www.unicef.hr/ukrajina.
