A Place for Fun and Night Life

The beginning of June at Jarun Lake will be marked by the opening of this year’s swimming season which will coincide with the beginning of a crazy night life season. Among the biggest musical treats in the offing is certainly InMusic, a festival which will take place between 28th and 30th June and gather a host of big names from the global music scene.

The hoisting of the Blue Flag on 5th June will mark the official beginning of the swimming season and summer entertainment at Zagreb's Jarun Lake. Since it was first raised in 2004, the Blue Flag has been awarded every year to all of the five beaches at the lake as a sign that they meet international standards in terms of cleanliness and safety.

As of this year, swimmers will have as many as 800 sun loungers at their disposal and there will be a host of new contents and entertainment programmes to enjoy. Owing to the ideal potentials for rest and recreation, as well as for entertainment all day and night, Zagreb's Jarun Lake is the in-place for night clubbing and enjoying the good life. Jarun has been known to host over two hundred thousand visitors at the weekends; people enjoying different types of recreation or simply relaxing in the company of friends or family. The eight-kilometre long walking paths, cycling and rollerblading lanes running for 5,500 metres, courts for basketball, bocce, volleyball, sand netball and football, as well as badminton, crazy golf, hanging bowling facilities, a skate park, table tennis, garden chess and other amenities provide hours of entertainment. Jarun is regularly the venue of rowing and sailing regattas, calm water kayak and canoe races, swimming marathons, athletic and cycling races, triathlons, etc.

Jarun is also known for major musical and concert events, including the famous InMusic Festival. This year’s festival will gather well known names from the world of music and attract dozens of thousands of visitors from all over the world. The festival will again be held on multiple stages erected for the occasion on the Island of Croatian Youth. Great fun will be had by all for three entire days between 28th and 30th June. Do not forget that the many restaurants, bars and night clubs promise some serious night entertainment. There is something going on at Jarun nearly the whole year round – including events for children, disabled persons, charity events, as well as promotional events organized by globally known companies, cultural and educational events, and so on.
