Advent in a different way

The two-hour evening tour, “Advent in a different way”, can be taken between December 6th and 22nd to give you an insight into the old and lesser known Advent customs of Zagreb and make you an active participant in this educational programme.

A themed, two hour tour named “Advent in a different way” is on offer to everyone who wishes to find out more about the old and lesser known Advent customs in Zagreb. During this interactive tour you will learn that the first public recording on vinyl in Europe was done in 1926 at the Zagreb Cathedral, when the choir sang a popular Christmas song. Tour participants will also have the opportunity to make their own Christmas card… We will not reveal the rest, but instead, we would like to invite you to partake in this interactive, educational programme.

Themed evening tours will be organized every Friday, Saturday and Sunday between December 6th and 22nd, starting at 5 p.m. with guidance in Croatian, and on Saturdays at 3.30 p.m. in English. The starting point of the tour is in front of the Tourist Information Centre on the Square of Ban Josip Jelačić. Groups can be accommodated at different times with guidance in Croatian, English and Spanish languages. The price for the Croatian language programme is 49 kuna, while the English programme costs 75 kuna. Admission is free for children under the age of seven accompanied by adults.
