An International Festival of Documentary Film
Between February 23rd and March 2nd, the Cineplexx Cinema at Centar Kaptol will be the venue for the 10th ZagrebDox International Festival of Documentary Film, featuring more than 150 of the best documentary films from all over the world.
With a diverse program, including more than 150 documentary stories from around the world, the ZagrebDox International Festival of Documentary Film will mark its 10th jubilee. The festival will take place between February 23rd and March 2nd at the Cineplexx Cinema at Centar Kaptol. Apart from unusual, award-winning documentaries, audiences will also have the opportunity to watch films in different programs, including Controversial Dox, State of Affairs, Happy Dox, Musical Globe, Teen Dox and Biography Dox.
Over the last nine years the festival has largely contributed to the popularization of the documentary genre. The screenings of more than 1,300 films were attended by 174,000 visitors. Apart from the official programs, the festival will also feature a diverse concurrent program featuring various retrospectives, as well as an educational program targeted at film professionals, ZagrebDoxPro, whose main goal is to enhance cooperation in south-eastern Europe, and to popularize global, European, regional as well as local documentary films. As part of the concurrent program – MyBestDox, to mark the 10th jubilee of the festival, audiences will have the opportunity to see films that the critics and documentary filmmakers selected as the best ZagrebDox documentaries. There will also be a retrospective of the Wajda Polish School of Film and an evening dedicated to Croatian director Damir Čučić.
