Billy Idol at the first edition of Zagreb Calling
The headliner of the first Zagreb Calling, which will take place on July 14th at the stadium at Šalata, will be Billy Idol, while renowned bands from the region, Partibrejkers from Belgrade and Psihomodo Pop from Zagreb, will perform as special guests.
The British rock legend, Billy Idol, will headline the first Zagreb Calling, which will take place on July 14th at the stadium at Šalata. He will perform as part of his large European tour with which he is promoting his seventh studio album - Kings & Queens of the Underground, which was released in October of last year. The album was produced by the legendary British producer, songwriter and member of the bands Yes, Art of Noise and The Buggles – Trevor Horn. American producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Greg Kurstin, who cooperated with numerous musicians, including Lily Allen, Tegan and Sara, Sia and many others, also worked on two songs on this album.
After the concert at the 2010 INmusic Festival, this will be Billy Idol's second performance in Zagreb, and the only one he will hold in this part of Europe. He will be backed by excellent musicians with whom he has shared the stage for many years, including guitar virtuoso Steve Stevens, who won a Grammy for the Top Gun Anthem and collaborated with Michael Jackson and Vince Neil.
Apart from Billy Idol, Zagreb Calling will feature two bands from the region – Partibrejkers from Belgrade and Psihomodo Pop from Zagreb. Since both of these bands have been present on the music scene for several decades, audiences will have the opportunity to enjoy many of their hits.
Tickets for the first edition of Croatia’s own part of the global franchise, Zagreb Calling, can be purchased via Eventim at a price of 229 kuna. Two days prior to the concert, ticket prices will be raised to 249 kuna.
The organizer of the concert is Avalon Production in cooperation with ITB.
