As part of the Zagreb Cultural Summer, taking place at various locations all over the city, the Bundek Summer Stage will start on July 2nd. Lake-bound visitors can look forward to many concerts, as well as other entertaining and educational events for all generations.

The Bundek Summer Stage will be opened by the Big Band of Croatian Radio and Television, as well as the symphony orchestra of the Croatian Armed Forces, performing a concert in memory of one of the greatest Croatian composers, Miljenko Prohaska. Apart from the performance by these renowned orchestras, throughout the summer the lakeside stage will also feature performances by numerous renowned musicians, who will treat audiences to many different music genres. Among them will be performances by the Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, the Opera of the Croatian National Theatre, the Komedija City Theatre, the Jazz Orchestra and the Tamburitza Orchestra of Croatian Radio and Television. There will also be performances by many bands, vocal groups and pop singers, while audiences will also have the opportunity to enjoy a performance by one of the most versatile Croatian artists, pianist and composer Matej Meštrović, who will perform with the Sudar Percussion Ensemble.

Apart from the concerts at Bundek Lake, a special programme on July 11th will mark the day of Nikola Tesla. On that occasion, visitors will have the opportunity to view a new animated film produced by Zagrebfilm, “The Secret Laboratory of Nikola Tesla”, as well as see excerpts from the experimental, interactive, animated documentary film “Mechanical Figures”, which was inspired by Tesla’s genius mind and produced by Helena Bulaja. That is not all, however, as there will also be a presentation of electric-powered cars, and visitors can also look forward to many other educational events during this journey of enlightenment.
