Concerts with a view of the city

Make sure to reserve your ticket for the Medvedgrad Music Evenings. This event is taking place at the best preserved 13th century fort – the old Medvedgrad town, which commands an amazing night-time view of Zagreb.

The medieval burg of Medvedgrad, the best preserved fort from the 13th century, will feature the Medvedgrad Music Evenings between July 16th and 18th. The attractive cultural event, taking place in the heart of the Medvednica Nature Park, and commanding spectacular night-time view of Zagreb, will once again feature top notch music performances this year.

The organizer of the Medvedgrad Music Evenings is the August Cesarec Centre for Culture and Film, in cooperation with the Medvednica Nature Park Public Institution and the Menart BPM.

Just like last year, the three-day music event will feature concerts that will take place prior to the performances on the big stage as part of a special programme – Acoustics at the Fort. This programme, aimed at presenting young and talented Croatian musicians and authors, is open only to thirty or so audience members, which certainly adds to the special atmosphere. Since admission to all the concerts of the Medvedgrad Music Evenings is limited, and there are not many tickets left, so make sure to reserve your place at this attractive music event on time.

This year’s Medvedgrad Music Evenings will feature performances by the bands Pavel, Detour and the Rundek Cargo Trio. Tickets, priced at 70 and 80 kuna per concert, can be purchased at the Rockmark bookstore, at TISAK media stores, at Aquarius Records and online via www.ulaznice.hr. A set of tickets for all three evenings costs 190 kuna.

During the three days of the event, free minibus transport to the Medvedgrad fort will be provided, and will depart from the Church of St. Mirko (St. Emeric) in Šestine.

The Medvedgrad Music Evenings are organized with the support of the City Office for Education, Culture and Sport, as well as the Zagreb Tourist Board, and are part of the ZgKul - Zagreb Cultural Summer programme.
