Click on the link and vote to help get Zagreb on the board of the global edition of Monopoly Here & Now, which is scheduled for release this autumn. In order to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the globally popular board game, Hasboro Inc. and BuzzFeed have launched this campaign, which includes fans in the selection of the cities to be featured in its new global edition.
The voting started on February 13th and it will go on until March 4th at www.buzzfeed.com/votemonopoly. During this period, fans can vote for the cities to be included on the list of global destinations – as potential new entries in the new Monopoly Here & Now edition. The list includes Zagreb, but whether it will actually be included on the board or not depends exclusively on your votes.
All cities, regardless of size, will have the opportunity to compete for two places on the Monopoly Here & Now board during the Wild Card Week, between March 3rd and 9th. During that period, voters will be able to add locations that are not included on the basic list of destinations and cities, and the two that get the most votes will be included on the board as brown properties.
The final list of the cities featured in the new Monopoly Here & Now will be revealed on March 19th, on World Monopoly Day and the official birthday of the Monopoly brand.
Monopoly Here & Now will also feature tokens depicting global cultural landmarks and a new aspect to the game, the goal of which is to visit as many different places and gather as many stamps in one’s passport throughout the trip. Players will make money on visitor fares when opposing players reach their properties, and the first player to fill their passport is the winner.
