Eliscaffe – One of the Top 600 Places to Drink Coffee in the World
At Ilica 63 the best Croatian barista awaits with a perfect cup of coffee.
About 150 of the world’s best baristas and coffee experts have drawn up a list of 600 places in over 50 countries where it’s worth going for a coffee. Zagreb has the honour of Eliscaffe, at Ilica 63, owned by top Croatian barista Nik Orosi, being among them. The honour is even greater when you know that the Phaidon publications which answer the question “Where to…” are essential reading in the world of gastronomy. Anyone at all interested in food and drink has one of the three previous titles: “Where Bartenders Drink”, “Where Chefs Eat” and “Where to Eat Pizza”. Their guides are especially relevant since they are written by professionals. Eliscaffe is listed in the Phaidon guide “Where to Drink Coffee” giving this cult café, with the pioneer ofthe Croatian speciality coffee scene at its helm, well-earned recognition. Each location recommended in this guide has a review with basic information and navigation aids such as maps.
