EuroBasket 2015 in Croatia - Zagreb to host a basketball competition

Zagreb will be host to national basketball teams competing in group C of EuroBasket 2015. The event will take place between September 5th and 10th at Arena Zagreb. The Croatian team will be competing for the title against teams from Slovenia, Greece, Macedonia, Georgia and the Netherlands.

The EuroBasket, which was known as the European Championship until 2005, is the most important basketball competition for European national teams. It is also a qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games, and this year it is taking place in four countries. Apart from the Croatian capital, games will be played in the capital of Latvia - Riga, Berlin in Germany, and Montpellier in France. Since the French team are the reigning champions, the finals of this year’s competition will take place in France. The four best teams from each group will play their games between September 12th and 20th in Lille.
