Exploring the city by mini-van

Mini-van City Tours are organized every day and depart at 10 a.m. from Bakačeva Street near the Cathedral. The tour lasts three hours and includes the most significant historic and cultural sites in Zagreb.

For those who are not keen on exploring the city by the Segway personal transporter, the Tourist Board of the City of Zagreb and the Ibus tourist agency has organized a Mini-van tour of the most important sights. The three-hour tour leaves daily at 10 a.m. from Bakačeva Street near the Cathedral. The program covers a total of thirty of the most important highlights in Zagreb’s Lower and Upper Towns, the two parts of the city which have witnessed numerous historic events during the thousand years of the city’s existence and are nowadays home to various cultural institutions. Apart from the Croatian National Theater and numerous museums, some of which rank among the oldest such institutions in this part of Europe, visitors will also explore the parks and squares in the Lower Town, parts of the so called Green Horseshoe, an architectural feature which is considered a masterpiece of European historicism. The tour also includes a visit to the unique and monumental Mirogoj Cemetery. It then proceeds to the Upper Town and all of its historic landmarks – Kamenita Vrata (The Stone Gate), Lotršċak Tower, St. Mark’s Church and the mandatory visit to the city’s biggest green market at Dolac. For information and to make reservations you can go to any hotel, tourist agency or tourist information center. Zagreb Card holders are entitled to a 20 per cent discount on the ticket price. The same discount applies to children between the ages of 2 and 12, while toddlers younger than 2 can ride for free.
