Lord of the Dance once again in Zagreb

After two years, the globally-famous dance troupe, Lord of the Dance, will hold two performances in Zagreb, on May 16th, at the Dražen Petrović basketball hall.

After two years, Zagreb will once again host Michael Flatley’s Lord of the Dance, the world’s most famous dance troupe, which has been touring the world with their spectacular dance performances. Performances will be held on May 16th at the large hall of the Dražen Petrović basketball center, beginning at 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.
Lord of the Dance is the biggest dance show in the world that nurtures the recognizable Irish folklore. The group has existed since 1966 and they have since sold out every single show they ever held. They also hold the record of the famous Wembley Arena in London, which they filled to capacity for 21 days in a row.
Nowadays, there are a total of three setups of the troupe: one for touring Europe, another in America, and the third in Australia; each consists of some 200 top class dancers.
In order to maintain the high standards of this dance and music spectacle, their performances are constantly under the supervision of 20 creative professionals in charge of set design, costumes, lighting, sound and choreography.
Sales of more than five million recordings of Lord of the Dance performances on DVD and CD, have greatly contributed to the fascinating statistics of Michael Flatley’s biggest success. Performances are based on Irish folklore; maintaining the classic story about the struggle between good and evil as told through the universal language of dance, which has made Irish folklore recognizable and popular worldwide.
From the moment the lights are dimmed until the encore, the audiences are guaranteed to be enchanted with the exquisitely orchestrated combination of precise choreography, fantastic lighting, and pyrotechnics, as well as great music.
