Robbie Williams at Maksimir Stadium
As part of his “Take The Crown” European tour, the biggest British pop star, Robbie Williams, will hold a concert in Zagreb at Maksimir Stadium on 13 August.
Fans of one of the biggest British pop stars, Robbie Williams, were absolutely delighted when they heard that their idol would visit Zagreb as part of his European tour and that he would hold a concert at Maksimir Stadium on 13 August.
Ever since the star announced his European tour to promote his most recent studio album “Take The Crown”, Croatian fans had impatiently awaited the official announcement of his arrival. Finally, they can start planning and preparing for this big concert. Obviously, the first thing to do is to make sure that they buy a ticket, and the tickets have been on sale since the last day of February.
For a number of years now, Robbie Williams has been at the very pinnacle of the international pop music scene. Although he made his first professional music steps as a member of the then very popular boy band Take That, he has become even more popular owing to his solo career. Since 1997 he has recorded as many as 15 albums; nine studio albums, including the last, the aforementioned “Take The Crown”, five compilations and one live album - Live At Knebworth. Nearly every new album he releases breaks sales records, whereas his live appearances have gained him a reputation as one of the greatest performers in the world.
Although his solo career has really made him the artist he is, he has not forgotten his boys from the band. They gathered again in 2010 and released an album entitled Progress. A year later, in 2011, they embarked on a tour which was a raging success.
One could easily say that everything Robbie Williams does is successful. Besides being considered one of the best selling singers on the contemporary music scene (six of his releases are on the list of the 100 best selling albums of all times), in 2006 his name was entered in the Guinness Book of World Records after a total of 1.6 million tickets were sold in a single day for his Close Encounters Tour concerts.
It is therefore not surprising that such an impressive career has made him an absolute pop legend in the eyes of international audiences, and that his fans all over the world look forward to his appearances with such impatience. It is enough just to remind ourselves of some of his albums, such as Candy, She’s Madonna, Rudebox, Advertising Space, Come Undone, Feel, Somethin’ Stupid, The Road To Mandalay, Supreme, Kids, Rock DJ, Millennium, Let Me Entertain You, Angels, Freedom, Everything Changes…
Although it seemed at one point that Robbie Williams lost his bearings in the world of music, with his last album he has clearly demonstrated that he still has very much to give to his fans. For the production of this album, he engaged some new people rather than his old partners with whom he achieved great successes, a very bold decision indeed.
Two of them are completely unknown Australian musicians with whom he wrote as many as 14 new songs in only 10 days. His fans will be able to hear them live at the concert in Croatia.
Tickets for this big event may be purchased through the Eventim system, at prices ranging from 259 to 1199 kuna.
