Sightseeing in Zagreb
The ZET tourist buses have been driving along the streets of Zagreb since late May. They offer the opportunity to see the city’s sights along two routes, with professional guides giving the tours in eight languages.
On May 31st, the Day of the City of Zagreb, the first tourist buses run by the ZET Company were introduced to the city’s streets. For the time being, the buses travel along two routes: the red route covers the most important sites in the city center, and the green route includes the stretch between Bundek Lake and Maksimir Park.
The buses are fully adapted to tourist needs and offer guided sightseeing tours in eight languages. A ticket costs 70 kuna per person and is valid on both routes for 24 hours without any restrictions. The ZET Company, in cooperation with the Tourism Board of the City of Zagreb, have announced that four more buses, one of which is a double-decker bus, will soon join the two currently in operation.
Apart from providing city tours by ZET buses, the Tourism Board of the City of Zagreb has teamed up with the Ibus Agency to offer sightseeing tours by mini-bus. These tours are organized every day and depart from the Cathedral starting at 10 a.m. and finish three hours later at the same place. The program covers a total of thirty historic sites in both the Lower and Upper Towns, where many significant events took place throughout the city’s thousand year long history.
